Doctor Today India made a generous contribution in Nepal Earthquake relief.
From 25th April to 12th May 2015, a series of earthquakes and aftershocks kept hitting Nepal. Killing more than 8,000 people, this natural disaster tore apart whole country. On 15th May, we collected funds and sent a team to Nepal to help affected people.
We took food, clothes, and medicines with them. On 18th May, we arrived at affected areas and immediately started relief program. It was a heartbreaking scene to see such a beautiful country devastated. We supplied food, vaccinated injured, distributed clothes.
By 22nd May, we had vaccinated over 500 people in Sermathangat, Melamchi, Godamchur, and Debachaur. We worked tirelessly throughout our stay there. On 23rd, after 4 days of the non-stop relief program, we started our journey back to India.
Natural disasters like Nepal Earthquake remind us of how we are essentially one, despite ethnicities, borders, languages. Humanity is our true race, our language. At Doctor Today, we believe in serving humanity.
